Martine Guerrier
Martine Guerrier is a lifetime advocate for family involvement in the academic lives of children. She brings 12 years of expertise in the field of education policy and family involvement in education, and more than 14 years of personal parenting experience. Ms. Guerrier understands that positive, two-way communication between schools and parents is critical to improving student outcomes. She works to make this goal a reality by developing and facilitating high quality workshops which enable school administrators, teachers, and other school staff to work collaboratively with parents to support every student at each level of his/her academic career.
Ms. Guerrier most recently served as a policy advisor in the NYC Mayor's Office, and as the first Chief Family Engagement Officer for NYC public schools where she was a member of the Chancellor’s team. She created a number of signature initiatives which engaged and directly served families. Ms. Guerrier has been featured in newspapers and magazines, most notably she has served as a guest on FOX “Good Day New York”, TV morning program offering back to school advice during a featured segment in August 2009.
